CONFORMATION CLASSES - Divided by Sex

Regular Classes: Jr (6-9), Sr (9-12), 12-15, 15 - 18, Cdn Bred, Bred By Ex, Open, Veteran, Specials Only, Exhibition Only, & Altered.

Non – Regular Classes: Stud Dog, Brood Bitch, Parade of Veterans. & Exhibition Only.

 Junior Handling

Trophy & Rosette will be awarded for Best Overall Junior Handler. Rosettes will be awarded for 1^st in each class.

TROPHIES AND ROSETTES

All trophies/awards must be picked up at the show. No trophies will be mailed.

SPECIALTY CONFORMATION

Trophies: Thanks to the generosity of members and friends, the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Ontario is pleased to offer rosettes and/or prizes for the following: Best Stud Dog, Best Brood Bitch. In addition, a rosette and/or appropriate prize will be awarded to first place in each official class in the Specialty. A ribbon will be awarded to second through fourth place in each class in the Specialty. A personalized Rosette will be awarded to each participant in the Parade of Veterans.

Best in Breed Specialty Show will be awarded a rosette and $300.00 CASH PRIZE, generously donated by Dr. Carlan Stants
in memory of “Multiple BPISS CH Bernhaven's Sirius Hope”.

Best Puppy in Specialty Show will be awarded a rosette and $200.00 CASH PRIZE, generously donated
by Dr. Carlan Stants in memory of “Multiple BPISS CH Bernhaven's Sirius Hope”.

Cash Prizes  - $ 75.00 for Best of Opposite Sex & Best of Winners, $ 75.00 for Best Veteran, $ 65.00 for Sexually Altered Best of Breed, $ 50.00 Sexually Altered Best of Opposite, $ 45.00 for Winners Dog & Bitch, $ 35.00 for Reserve Winners Dog & Bitch, $ 30.00 for Jr Puppy dog & Bitch, Sr Puppy Dog & Bitch, 12 – 15 month Dog & Bitch, 15 -18 month Dog & Bitch, Cdn Bred Dog & Bitch, Bred By Dog & Bitch, Open Dog & Bitch,
$45.00 for Veteran Dog & Bitch.

Award of Merit: $ 55.00 & One rosette will be offered for every ten dogs competing at Best of Breed level.
Awards of merit will be presented at the discretion of the judge.

Obedience Booster

Trophy &/or Rosettes will be awarded for the Highest Qualifying scoring Bernese Mountain Dog
of the day in the SD & G Obedience Trials  on  Friday, August  26, 2011

Rally Booster

Trophy &/or Rosette will be awarded for the Highest Qualifying scoring Bernese Mountain Dog
of the day in the SD & G Rally Trials  on Friday, August  26, 2011.

SWEEPSTAKES

All Ages are as of the day of the Specialty.

Note: All Dogs entered in Sweepstakes must also be entered in one of the official classes at the specialty.

All Regular Sweepstakes classes divided by sex:  6 – 9, 9 -12, 12- 15, & 15 -18 mos,

All Veteran Sweepstakes classes are to be divided by sex: 7-9 yrs, 9 -11 yrs, 11 yrs +,

Three-Generation Sweepstakes: Entry consists of three dogs related in a DIRECT line of 3-generations (1st mother/father, 2nd son/daughter, 3rd grandson/granddaughter). Dogs shown in this class may be neutered/spayed. The three dogs are shown together, & handled separately by three separate handlers. Dogs will be judged on similarity in type within their family grouping and breeder(s)/owner(s) do NOT need to be identical. Note: When completing your entry for this Sweepstakes, place the entry under the name of the oldest dog in the group. 

SWEEPSTAKES PRIZES

All Money prizes are based on entry fees collected for each class

1st Place in Class: 30% & Rosette, 2nd Place in Class: 20% & ribbon; 3rd Place in Class: 15% & ribbon; 4th Place in Class: 10% & ribbon

Best in Sweeps: rosette &/or trophy; Best of Opposite in Sweeps: rosette &/or trophy

Balance of total entry fees: (25%) will be retained to cover administration and expenses.

Veteran Sweepstakes: Same as above. In addition, a participant’s ribbon will be awarded to all participants in the Veterans Sweepstakes.

3-Generation Sweepstakes: Best In Sweepstakes (1st Place): 30% of entry fees collected, rosette &/or trophy;
2nd Place: 20% & ribbon; 3rd Place: 15% & ribbon; 4th Place: 10% & ribbon
