Your Specialty Conformation Judge

 ~ David M. Paterson ~

I have been breeding, showing and loving Saint Bernards, the gentle giants, since 1967. Four of my males had the distinction of being Top Show Dogs, all of them owner handled:

Am. & Cdn Ch. Alndon's Morrison P 2nd.
Am. & Cdn Ch. Jeloo's Lucifer's Lightening
Am. & Cdn Ch. Nerthus Charlemagne TT
Am. & Cdn Ch. San Marco's Royal Frost TT

I have been an active member of the Saint Bernard Club of Ontario since 1967, serving as Show Chairman, President, Vice President and Treasurer.

I became involved with Bernese Mountain Dogs in 1981. Our kennel "San Marco", proudly owned Canada's first Bernese Champion after the breed gained CKC recognition in 1975, "Am. & Cdn. Ch. San Marco's Northern Lance". Lance made it possible for us to produce three distinguished Top Show dogs that were, once again, all owner handled:

Am. & Cdn. Ch. San Marco's Mountain Bear
Am. & Cdn. Ch. San Marco's No Question TT
Ch. San Marco's Sweet as Sugar

In April of 1989, I began my career as a Conformation Judge. I find judging as challenging and exciting as all the other aspects of the Dog World
.

Your Sweepstakes Judge

~ Eve Menegoz ~

I moved to Montreal, Canada in 1967 from my native Switzerland.
I acquired my first Bernese 30 years ago, "Jakob v Huebelihof". Since then I have been in Conformation, Obedience and Tracking. I have bred a few litters, and it has become my passion. I was instrumental in getting the breed registered in Canada and I was also present when the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Canada was first established.
A few firsts are: "Kobi", Champion and Companion Dog, "Ursli", Obedience Trial Champion and "Sugus", Tracking Dog Excellent. I have shown at specialties in Holland, Switzerland, USA and Canada and received some memorable wins.
I was invited to judge Sweepstakes at two US National Specialties and one US Regional Specialty and three All Breed Sweepstakes. I am looking forward to my assignment with the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Ontario.

I was born and educated in London, England. It was while accompanying my husband on a four-year tour in Copenhagen, Denmark that I met and fell in love with the Bernese Mountain Dog.  I considers myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to “apprentice” under Ina Olsen of Tertzo Kennel, one of the top breeders in her homeland.  I purchased my first Berner in 1986, my second in 1987, and the following year returned to Canada.  In 1989, Ina loaned me a Danish Top Producing Stud dog to start my program.  I enjoy working with this breed and the many dedicated people involved in it.  I am committed to producing a dog that can meet the demand of today’s society while maintaining the physical ability to work in his traditional role. I actively show in conformation and participate in obedience, and have recently introduced two of my dogs to draftwork. I have had the benefit of showing in Canada and the United States and under FCI regulations. I have attended two World Shows, in Copenhagen and Berne, Switzerland.  I am member of the BMDCC, BMDCO, CKC and Ottawa Kennel Club, and Bytown Dog Obedience Club.

Your Obedience Judge

~ Isabella G. Hutton ~

I purchased my first dog, a happy tri-colored sheltie named “Laddie”, in March of 1988.  I did this after having two major back surgeries and realizing that I would not be able to return to work.

Laddie opened up a whole new life for me.  I went on to trial him to the Utility Title in Canada, Bermuda and the States.  I also campaigned him in 1991 to the #10 Obedience dog in Canada.

I now own another shelties in addition to Laddie, and they have also been shown in obedience in Canada, Bermuda and the States.  My youngest dog also has his Conformation championship

I received my Judging license in may of 1997, and I recently had the honour of

Receiving the "2001 Pedigree Pal Obedience Judge of the year".

Any free time I have, I enjoy reading, gardening and traveling with my husband.
